Governor Alcino de Andrade Tigrinho and his team hosted the Meeting of Presidents and Secretaries of Rotary Year 2009/2010, which took place in Curitiba at the CIETEP – FIEP, located at Av. Comendador Franco, 1341 – Jardim Botânico, on 30th January 2010.

Present at the meeting were Presidents of many Rotary Clubs in District 4730, filling FIEP’s Conventions Hall on a hot Summer’s day in January, from 9am till 4pm.

The enthusiasm of Governor Tigrinho and of all the fellow members present was the height of the meeting.

On the agenda were themes such as Rotary Foundation, Success Cases, Membership, Provision of Services, Water Resources, Literacy, Health and Fight Against Hunger. The meeting ended with important information about the District Conference.

In the afternoon, our fellow member Eri Coelho presented the project that the Rotary are working on in partnership with SESI PR, bringing together two projects, Rotary’s A Bridge for Children’s Future and SESI PR’s Travelling Industry Project. This activity that Rotary and SESI are together working on is aimed at the school environment in their target areas.

José Antonio Fares, SESI’s Superintendent and member of Rotary Club CIC, was present at the meeting as a representative of our host, SESI.

After a long working Saturday, the meeting ended with a lot of energy, happiness, enthusiasm, motivation and greetings between members of the Rotary, and also applause and words of praise for Governor Tigrinho’s unique initiative of promoting such an important event for District 4730.

Rotary’s motto for this year is “Rotary’s future is in your hands”, so we must act with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
